“Do not touch it lest ye be killed,” warns the Book of Exodus. The Ark of the Covenant is called a device for talking to God. The Bible also records its power to destroy armies and level mountains with rays of fire. Moses received specific instructions to follow exactly the patterns shown him on the mountain. And only priests wearing sacred vestments were allowed anywhere near the Ark.

It warned they must obey the statutes of protection or bear the Ark’s iniquity and the consequence of death. Why? The shape of the lampstand is the timeless, universal symbol representing the action of nuclear fission. The iniquity of the Ark of the Covenant was radiation.
